By creating an account or using the FoodSilo app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

FoodSilo is a personal nutrition and pantry tracking application that allows users to log food intake, track body weight, manage pantry inventory, and optionally sync data from third-party health platforms including Google Fit and Samsung Health.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FoodSilo. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
All activity that occurs under your account.
Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FoodSilo only for its intended purpose of personal health and nutrition tracking. You agree not to:

Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the security of any other user's data.
Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate the app's functionality for commercial purposes.
Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the app's infrastructure.

6. Health Disclaimer

FoodSilo is a personal tracking tool and is not a medical device or medical service. The information displayed in the app — including calorie targets, BMR calculations, weight progress, and calorie burn estimates — is provided for general informational and personal tracking purposes only.

FoodSilo is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health goals, especially if you have any existing medical conditions.

Calorie and nutrition data sourced from third-party databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts) may not be perfectly accurate for every product. Always verify nutrition information against product labels when precision matters.

7. Third-Party Integrations

FoodSilo integrates with third-party services including Google Fit and Samsung Health at your direction. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those respective services. FoodSilo is not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by these third-party platforms.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of FoodSilo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

9. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep FoodSilo available and functional at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

Modify, update, or discontinue features of the app at any time.
Update these Terms of Service. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

FoodSilo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost. We strongly recommend not relying on FoodSilo as your only record of important health information.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoodSilo and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes resulting from app-provided information, or service interruptions.
